Elisa Lopez is a devoted mother and newlywed whose world was turned upside down when her husband, Roger, suddenly fell ill. On March 17th, Roger came home not feeling like himself, but his wife Elisa thought he might just be tired. The following morning 3/18/26, it was clear something was seriously wrong. He was rushed to the hospital and then airlifted to UNMH in Albuquerque, where he is undergoing emergency surgery due to bleeding in his brain from a ruptured AVM. As of now, he remains in surgery, and his family is anxiously waiting for updates.

Elisa has always been someone others can count on. Through her work in the nursing department at an agency that supports adults with developmental disabilities, she shows up every day to care for others. Now, she and her family are facing an unimaginable situation of their own.

Along with the emotional toll, this sudden emergency brings overwhelming financial stress. With Roger hospitalized and Elisa needing to be by his side, the loss of income and unexpected medical expenses are adding up quickly. Their focus should be on Roger’s recovery and caring for their three children, his two daughters and their young son, not worrying about how to cover these costs.
