UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: as of 11:30pm today (still Saturday) we have raised over $7,000! We are talking rental car ✅ groceries ✅ gas ✅ THANK YOU, ALL! Now, how about we get their bills taken care of back home in Iowa? They work hard to make ends meet, but Katie’s job is 100% being mama to Eli in Philly and Marcus’ schedule will have to be even more flexible as he solo parents their other four kids back home. Can we give them one less thing to worry about? Let’s see what we can do!!

UPDATE: as of 5:45pm today (Saturday) we have raised enough for a rental car while they’re in Philly!! All the rest will go to groceries, gas, and misc expenses! Let’s keep it going!

As we all know, Eli Belser is battling his 4th round of cancer. His team of doctors have told Eli’s parents that it’s vital he get to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia by January 12th, 2025. There, Eli will undergo a treatment that requires he be within 30min of the hospital at all times for two months straight. For that reason, Katie and Eli will be living in Philadelphia for 7 weeks in an apartment furnished by the hospital.

Katie and Eli will need transportation to be able to get back and forth to his appointments as well as for running errands like getting groceries. An economy car rental for 7 weeks ranges from $3,000-$4,000. Additionally, things like food and gas will be added expenses they have to think about.
