Hello, my name is Jannette and I am creating this GoFundMe page on behalf of my nephew Elijah and his family. My sister Mayte and her husband, Damian are the parents to baby Elijah who is a twin brother to Isaiah with older siblings Adrianna and Robert. For about 2 months now the twins, Elijah and Isaiah (and of course the rest of the family) have been going through some tested waters. Once the twins started day care for mommy to go back to work they got sick with the hand, foot and mouth disease, and well other viruses along the way. Long story short, Elijah was hopsitalized on the 11th of November and is still in the hospital. He was in ICU with 4 different chronic viruses which one of them included a Corona related virus that caused him to have chronic respiratory complications and was in a very delicate condition. For the glory of God, yesterday he was removed from ICU, to regular care and is being monitored and we have faith and believe he will be able to be home soon with the whole family.

However, due to his hospitalization both, mommy and daddy have had to miss work and attend to him and the other siblings at home. The other twin, Isaiah was also running fever and out of daycare last week and between dad, family & friends they all have been alternating to care for the needs of the family. Now, they are facing other challenges because the specialists have advised mom and dad that Elijah cannot go back to daycare and has to be under very sensitive care when he gets reelased from the hospital. This being the case, they were advised that he cannot be put back in daycare and needs to be at home and protected from getting sick again.

This family is already facing financial hardship being out of work for so many days and now, mom doesn't know if she can go back to work because there is no one that can care for Elijah full-time for her to return to work when he is released from the hospital.

We thank God and give Him glory because we've seen the power of God at work during Elijah's fight against these viruses, but, this family still needs your continued prayers and now, some financial help to be able to survive and pay their household bills and face the coming months while mom is home caring for Elijah.

Damian and Mayte, along with their four beautiful children, Elijah, Isaiah, Adrianna and Robert are in need of all of our help! This awesome family has not been able to catch a break with the challenges they've endured the past several months. Not to mention we are about a month out from Christmas.
