What started as another fun day of our Utah vacation became every parent's worst nightmare. Nic and Elena were in an off-roading accident Thursday afternoon in Utah, in which the ATV/side-by-side became engulfed in flames. Elena and Nic were both ground transported to the same hospital in St. George. Due to the severity of Elena's injuries, she was airlifted to University Medical Center Children's Hospital in Las Vegas, a level 1 trauma center with a dedicated burn center. She has second and third degree burns on her left side, including her face, neck, chest, arm, and back. The good news is she will be ok, but she has a lot of healing and recovery ahead.
Elena's family is facing an incredibly difficult time as they support her through this journey. The funds raised will help cover her medical bills, travel expenses for her family, and provide financial support as her parents take time away from work to care for Elena and her brother Jace who is still at home. Every bit of help will make a difference as they focus on Elena's recovery and well-being.
It would mean so much to the family to have support at this trying time. Your kindness, generosity, and prayers are deeply appreciated as Elena and her loved ones navigate the challenges ahead.
