I am a caregiver who began my journey two years ago through God’s grace. One night, I felt a calling that revealed my purpose, and from that moment, I knew I was meant to help those in need. Since then, I have dedicated myself to caring for people who need support the most, and I haven’t stopped since. God continues to send me to those who need assistance. It’s incredibly hard but so rewarding! To know I can contribute to the wellbeing of those most in need is everything!
Right now, I care for two elderly clients who are both facing early onset dementia. One is 90 years old and recently became blind and bedridden. As if that’s not enough she recently had to bury her son, which was not expected. Her other son, who is deaf and mute, is now trying to help, but it’s a daily challenge to teach him the skills he needs but He’s doing it. This client is on a very small income of Medicare and her home is in desperate need of repairs—needs a new a conditioner but it is now working after getting serviced. Very expensive, needed repairs and Freon which is now not even available again. Has only floor heaters but we are working on those repairs. She is living at the sons house that passed away and will soon be moving back to her home, but it’s not safe or comfortable for her in its current state.
My second client is 80 years old and lives alone. She struggles to care for herself, doesn’t cook, bathe, or clean, and sporadicly takes her medications. Her house is also falling apart, with no air conditioning and a roof that needs to be replaced. I thought this was taken care of but the company fell through. Wanted $8,000. Seriously look around! I visit her three days a week to help with daily tasks and make sure she’s safe.
I am asking for your help so I can help them live with dignity. Your support will go directly toward essential home repairs, and making sure they have what they need to stay safe and comfortable. Any contribution, big or small, will make a real difference. Thank you for helping me continue this mission and for supporting my care community.
This business is hard! I know God put me with them because I will make a difference in their lives and their families! We all need to do what we can for our elderly to keep them safe and happy! Hopefully you are loving yours.
If you can’t give please share!
God Bless you always
Elizabeth
