In the fall of 2023, our lives changed in an instant. My youngest brother, Emmanuel—known to many as EJ—was involved in a devastating head-on collision. He suffered serious injuries, and while we were grateful to God that he survived, we had no idea this was only the beginning of a much longer journey.
Since that accident, EJ has been living with epilepsy. What began as seizures has grown into an ongoing medical battle—one that has tested his strength, his independence, and his faith in ways none of us could have imagined.
On February 23, 2026, things took a heartbreaking turn. EJ experienced multiple seizures that resulted in significant memory loss. He began forgetting important people and moments in his life. Watching someone you love struggle to remember is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. He was hospitalized, underwent extensive testing, and was treated for autoimmune encephalitis. By the grace of God, he was released on March 7th —but the road ahead is still incredibly difficult.
EJ continues to struggle with memory issues and is no longer able to drive. Daily life has become a challenge, and the independence he once had has been taken from him, at least for now.
As the youngest of three, EJ has always been the one with a strong work ethic and a quiet determination. He has spent his life working hard, often juggling multiple jobs, and never asking for help—even when he needed it most. That’s why I’m asking for him.
Right now, he is facing overwhelming medical expenses and essential living costs, all while his income has been reduced through his employer provided benefits. His employment contract is up for renewal, his disability benefits are running out, and his Social Security claim is still pending. The uncertainty has been heavy—but we are holding on to faith that God will make a way. We are believing for healing, for restoration, and for provision during this season.
The funds raised will help cover:
• Medical copays and deductibles
• Mortgage payments and utilities
• Vehicle insurance and taxes
• Daily living expenses and outstanding debts
Any amount you feel led to give will go directly toward helping EJ stay afloat during this difficult time and focus on his recovery. If you are unable to give, we ask for your prayers. We truly believe in the power of prayer, and we know that God is still writing EJ’s story.
Thank you for standing with our family, for your generosity, and for lifting EJ up in prayer. It means more to us than words can express.
