Support For Efla
Donation protected
The Outstanding Filipino Witnesses from Albany, WA decided to start this campaign in behalf of our beloved Efla Padoc, 26 years old, a mother of 3 lovely children. She is the daughter of Vicky Dalingay, a resident of Albany WA.
Efla and her youngest child, Jerome (approximately 2.5 years old) flew to Albany to visit Vicky last year.
She was reportedly having persistent fever last week and was rushed yesterday to Albany Health Campus due to severe headaches, fever and vomiting. Tests and scans were done and the medical team’s findings were BACTERIAL MENINGITIS.
She is currently confined at the medical ward of Albany Health Campus, and aggressive antibacterial treatments have commenced.
We are not only asking for prayers. We are appealing for financial support for Efla. She is a tourist and cannot be covered by Medicare. Her mother works as a cleaner and is the sole financial supporter of Efla and her son. Neither does she have a private medical insurance.
Medical expenses from ED (triage) alone have summed more than $1000aud. MRI of the brain was done, pelvic ultrasound and lumbar tap were done on top of the routine medical diagnostics (blood works, urine analysis, etc). Now she is confined at the medical ward and would need about $3,500aud per day for the room and medications. On the least, the expected time of confinement for such cases would be 5-10 days depending on the patient’s response to treatment.
A social worker has sat down with Vicky to discuss payment plans but we all know they need more than this.
We are grateful for any amount you can spare for Efla. Know that your dollar has helped save a life.
And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
