Nos acercamos a ustedes con el corazón lleno de dolor tras la repentina y trágica pérdida de nuestro querido familiar, Edwin Montoya. Edwin era un ser humano bondadoso, cariñoso y de trato con su familia y amistad muy suave y mucho amor, que dedicó su vida a su familia y amigos: su esposa Dulce, sus cuatro hijos pequeños y su quinto bebé que viene en camino. Trabajaba incansablemente en la construcción para proveer para ellos, siempre poniendo sus necesidades primero y llenando su hogar de calidez y amor.

En el Día de San Valentín, Edwin salió a cenar con su familia. Alrededor de la medianoche, en la madrugada del 15 de febrero, el vehículo en el que iba circulaba por una carretera oscura y con poca iluminación cuando el carro perdió el control, se estrelló contra un árbol, derribó cables eléctricos y se incendió debido a los daños. Todos los ocupantes quedaron inconscientes y no pudieron escapar del fuego, lo que resultó en una pérdida inimaginable. Toda nuestra familia sigue en estado de shock tratando de asimilar esta tragedia, y los niños luchan por entender que su padre realmente ya no está.

Edwin era el principal sostén económico de su hogar, y su fallecimiento ha dejado a Dulce y a los niños enfrentando no solo un inmenso dolor, sino también serias dificultades económicas. Nosotros, su familia, hemos creado esta recaudación de fondos para pedir ayuda en nombre de ellos. Lo recaudado será para apoyar a los 5 niños y a la joven madre viuda. Los fondos ayudarán a cubrir los gastos del funeral y memorial, los costos legales y de documentación como el acta de defunción, el traslado de su cuerpo y otros gastos inmediatos relacionados con el accidente. Igualmente importante, su apoyo ayudará a cubrir los gastos básicos de vida de la familia durante el próximo año, mientras se adaptan a una vida sin Edwin. Esto incluye el alquiler, los servicios (electricidad, agua, calefacción/gas), alimentos, transporte, cuidado de los niños, atención médica (incluyendo el embarazo y el parto), teléfono e internet, ropa para los niños, útiles escolares, artículos para el bebé y consejería o apoyo emocional para Dulce y los pequeños. También esperamos reservar un pequeño fondo de emergencia para gastos inesperados, ya que ella continuará adelante criando sola a sus 5 hijos pequeños.

We come to you with our hearts full of sorrow after the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved family member, Edwin Montoya. Edwin was a kind and loving human being, gentle in the way he treated his family and friends, who dedicated his life to his loved ones: his wife Dulce, his four young children, and their fifth baby on the way. He worked tirelessly in construction to provide for them, always putting their needs first and filling their home with warmth and love.

On Valentine’s Day, Edwin went out to have dinner with his family. Around midnight, in the early hours of February 15, the vehicle he was in, was driving along a dark road with very little lighting when the car lost control, crashed into a tree, brought down electrical wires, and caught fire due to the damage. Everyone inside was rendered unconscious and could not escape the fire, resulting in an unimaginable loss. Our entire family remains in shock as we try to process this tragedy, and the children are struggling to understand that their father is truly gone.

Edwin was the main financial provider for his household, and his passing has left Dulce and the children facing not only immense pain, but also serious economic difficulties. We, his family, have created this fundraiser to ask for help on their behalf. What is raised will support the 5 children and the young widowed mother. The funds will help cover funeral and memorial expenses, legal and documentation costs such as the death certificate, the transportation of his body, and other immediate expenses related to the accident. Just as importantly, your support will help cover the family’s basic living expenses over the next year as they adapt to life without Edwin. This includes rent, utilities (electricity, water, heating/gas), food, transportation, childcare, medical care (including pregnancy and childbirth), phone and internet, clothing for the children, school supplies, baby items, and counseling or emotional support for Dulce and the little ones. We also hope to set aside a small emergency fund for unexpected expenses, as she will carry on raising her 5 young children on her own.
