On April 11th, Edgar Mauricio Lopez, a 45-year-old hardworking handyman from Guatemala, passed away in San Jose, CA following complication from an unsuccessful surgery. Edgar was a devoted husband and father, and the sole provider for his wife and two children, who remain in Guatemala. He worked tirelessly to support them, regularly sending money home so they could live with stability and dignity. His sudden passing has left his family not only heartbroken, but without the financial support they depended on every day.

Edgar was known for his kindness, humility, and willingness to help anyone in need. He touched many lives through his generosity and quiet strength. His absence has created an immeasurable void for his family and everyone who knew him. I am organizing this fundraiser as a friend of Edgar to help his family during this incredibly difficult time. We are raising funds to cover funeral and burial expenses so he can be laid to rest with dignity. Any additional support will go directly to his wife and children as they face an uncertain future without their provider. Funds will be sent directly to his wife in Guatemala.
