Support for Edgar

Overnight our sister Petra and her beautiful family’s lives were flipped upside down when our brother-in-law, Edgar, had a major stroke causing him to get life flighted from Midland, Tx to Fort Worth, Tx.  Every day since May 4, 2023 Edgar has encountered a battle he’s had to fight, but with our Lord watching over him and with all of the strong prayers from our family and friends, he continues to fight. 

He continues to be hospitalized in ICU and monitored closely for his strokes and an unknown blood disorder causing his body to form blood clots. He has undergone a craniectomy to alleviate swelling in his brain, tracheostomy, as well as a PEG tube. We are unsure of a discharge date but he will need to be transferred to another facility for rehabilitation. 

Our sister has stayed at his bedside every day to ensure she is available for any urgent decisions that need to be made. 

We are asking for any assistance to help cover the costs of Edgar’s medical bills from the hospitals, surgeries and continued care he will need as he recovers.  Contributions will also go towards bills they will need to cover while they are out of work as well as transportation, housing and food costs for Petra and their four children.

Hola, mi nombre es Edgar Zapata y junto con Petra Zapata y mis cuatro hermosos Hijos : Noel, Belen, Isabel y Gabi, somos una Familia dedicada a Dios y al trabajo. Actualmente estoy en el proceso de estudio y formación para ser Diácono para poder servir de forma más plena a Dios, a mi Familia y Comunidad de la Iglesia de Santa Ana en Midland, TX.

Lamentablemente, el pasado 4 de Mayo de este año sufrí un accidente cerebro vascular que complicó mi estado de salud con la aparición de unos coágulos en mi cabeza y debido a la gravedad de mi condición me trasladaron al Medical City Hospital de Forth Worth, donde desde ese día me encuentro luchando por mi vida de la mano de Dios, los Doctores y mi Familia y Amigos.

Hoy pido de su apoyo y generosidad para poder solventar los gastos de mi estancia médica mientras me encuentro sin poder trabajar. Mi familia y yo se los agradecemos mucho y le pediremos a Dios que bendiga y multiplique su generosidad. De antemano gracias y espero verlos pronto nuevamente.
