Our family and friends are grieving an unimaginable loss and facing a long road ahead. This past weekend, Eddie’s mother and his 5-year-old niece were involved in a devastating accident after leaving a wedding. As they were getting into their vehicle, a drunk driver crashed into the car. Eddie’s mother was transported to the hospital where she remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition and is expected to face a long and difficult recovery. Tragically, Eddie’s 5-year-old niece was also transported to the hospital but passed away from her injuries shortly after arriving. The loss of such a young life has devastated their entire family.

This tragedy comes after years of heartbreaking loss for Eddie’s family. Two years ago, Eddie lost his brother. Before that, the same brother lost his own son to leukemia at just 11 years old. The amount of grief this family has endured is almost impossible to comprehend. We are starting this GoFundMe to help support Eddie’s family during this incredibly painful time.
