Support for Ed Owen & Family After Accident

Donation protected
Ed Owen has always been the rock of our family. On Friday, he was hit by a car while leaving work on his scooter and they just drove off, and the accident left him with a broken neck. He’s now in the hospital in Los Angeles, and we’re still waiting to learn the full extent of his injuries and what his recovery will look like. Ed has always put his family first, working hard his whole life to provide for us and especially to care for my brother Jeremy, who has cerebral palsy. Now, with Ed unable to work and facing a long road ahead, our family is in urgent need of support.

My mom, Sheila, is doing her best to hold everything together, but she can’t do it alone. She is no longer able to drive due to her own health issues—she recovered from colon cancer a couple years ago and now needs a hip replacement. Living in Rancho Cucamonga, it’s difficult for her to visit Ed in the hospital in Los Angeles. She also cares for Jeremy, who needs help getting in and out of his wheelchair and shower chair each day, and for her own mother, who has been needing more care. The biggest needs right now are for people who can donate their time—whether it’s giving Sheila a ride to see Ed or helping with Jeremy’s daily care. If you’re able to volunteer, even for a short time, it would make a huge difference. Financial support will help cover the cost of a caretaker for Jeremy, as well as food, gas, and other daily expenses while Ed is unable to provide for the family.

I live in Tennessee and will be visiting soon, but I won’t be able to stay for the long journey ahead. I’m asking for prayers and any support you can offer. Ed is a good man who has sacrificed so much for our family, and now he needs the help of our community. Anything you can do—whether it’s donating, volunteering, prayer, or simply sharing this fundraiser—means the world to us. God is good and we know we can’t get through this alone. Thank you for being there for Ed, Sheila, Jeremy, and our family.
