Our family is heartbroken to share that our father, John Lee Tompkins Jr., known and loved by everyone as “Duke,” has passed away after his courageous battle with colon cancer. He fought with strength, humor, and determination until the very end.

Duke was more than a father — he was the kind of person who made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. He brought laughter into every room, supported his family through every challenge, and touched the lives of everyone lucky enough to know him. He leaves behind his children, grandchildren, siblings, and countless friends whose lives will never be the same without him.

As we work through this difficult time, we are asking for help with funeral costs and outstanding medical bills related to his cancer treatment. Any donation, no matter the size, will help us honor Duke in the way he deserves and allow our family to focus on healing and celebrating his memory.
