Funeral Costs for Scott and Michelle DuBois

I am raising funds for my Army Veteran son Scott DuBois and his wife Michelle DuBois.

Scott and Michelle were killed in a senseless head-on crash in Reno caused by a wrong-way DUI driver while they were on their way home after walking their two dogs, taking their lives and Kimba’s life, their hybrid Husky/grey wolf who Scott had rescued.

Our family is heartbroken, and Ellen and I are trying to manage so many immediate responsibilities from far away.

Scott and Michelle are survived by their daughter Gia, their son Scott, and their other dog Lyka, a purebred Malamutte, who was also involved in the accident but gloriously survived without any trauma.

After raising Scott for most of his life, I was finally able to officially adopt him less than a year ago, which made our father and son bond even more meaningful. Losing them so suddenly has left us grieving while also trying to take care of everything they left behind.

The funds from this fundraiser will help with funeral expenses, another month of rent on Scott and Michelle's apartment, utilities, and the travel costs for Ellen, myself and Scott's only sister Yvette to get to Reno from MA, including a motel and car rental for at least a week. We need that time there to plan a Funeral / celebration of life, clear out the apartment, handle their vehicles and other affairs, find care for Lyka, and make temporary arrangements for our grandson Scott.
