Went to the hospital with a numb hand thinking I was having a stroke. Three hours later, they informed us that it was metastatic stage 4 brain cancer and lung cancer. We were diagnosed on 12/8 with metastatic stage 4 brain cancer and stage 4 lung cancer. They found some lesions in the beginning; since late last December, the lesions have doubled and progressed from 5 to 11 lesions. We are going through dual chemotherapy and radiation.
I've always been the giver and not the taker, but at this point, I am needing help to make my bills as a sole provider, not only for myself but my elderly mother. Not being able to work as hard, we've gone through our savings, and making the monthly bills is getting tough. We are getting some help from friends and my employer, who has been amazing through this whole process, but any and all help received would be greatly appreciated.
We're believing in God for healing and restoration, but may be faced with another six months. If the current treatment plan works again, I've always been the giver and not the taker, and it's hard for me to even ask for help, but at this point, we're in dire need of assistance.
