Support for Drew Thomas and Family

On August 26th, 2021 while riding his motorcycle to work, Drew Thomas was involved in a horrific accident involving another vehicle. He was taken to the Greater Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls, where he was then immediately airlifted to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.

Drew has been in a medically induced coma since his arrival at Sunnybrook due to the swelling in his brain. Recent attempts to wake him after a week have not yet been successful. Drew is also battling pneumonia, along with having many broken bones, from his jaw down to his ankles.

At only 29 years of age, Drew is a fighter with so much to live for, including his beautiful and wonderful family. Anyone who knows Drew will say he is the absolute best father and partner to his wife, Julie Booth. Drew is the father of two beautiful little girls; 5 year old Avery, and Aria who is 2 years old. Along with Julie, his mother, Lynn, and sister, Sam, have also been by his side every step of the way during this tragedy.

If you know Drew’s personality then you are aware of his contagious smile, strong work ethic, generosity, and love for his family. We can’t wait to see Drew back to doing the things he loves; from taking his girls to Starbucks, to flying at the local Welland airport, to meeting up with friends.

Drew will have a long road ahead of him throughout his recovery both at the hospital and when he’s able to return home.

As Drew’s family, we put together this fundraiser to help take the financial burden and stress off of his immediate family. There are significant expenses from traveling to downtown Toronto, hospital parking, gas, hotel fees, childcare, and all other unforeseen costs.
