In one moment, everything can change. As Drew wrapped up busy season and left his desk that day in March of 2021, he couldn’t imagine that he would never return. Sure, there had been some difficulty typing and challenges speaking on conference calls all day; but the workload and long hours were always trying this time of year. 

Unfortunately, the issue was so much more. Drew was diagnosed with ALS, a cruel disease. Often referred to as Lou Gherig’s disease, its severity is only matched by the swiftness to which it takes hold. Drew now depends on his family and a full-time nurse to navigate every aspect of daily living. The family is thankful for the moments that they do have, however challenging they may be. 

Drew, Nicole and their family feel fortunate to be surrounded by support from both of their work teams and community through this journey. Countless colleagues and friends have asked "how can we help?".
