A Message from Sandy McMaster:
We already hear your voices saying “How can we help?” All of you that have spent time with us over the last weeks as this situation has unfolded have been asking that question. We’ve been giving it a lot of thought.
Doug’s doctors have confirmed that the best medicine is doing what he loves — playing guitar, writing songs of Aloha, and doing concerts sharing music and talk story time with you, our ‘ohana!
As many of you know, we have made it our mission to keep the spirit, songs and traditions of traditional Hawaiian Slack Music alive for many years. This is our full time occupation, and all of our living expenses are drawn from our live performances.
With the additional medical bills and doctors warning that Doug and I will have to cut back on his busy schedule, we are humbly and gratefully accepting help.
Your donations will offset:
** Medical bills not fully covered by health insurance
** Medicines not fully covered by health insurance
** Food, mortgage & living expenses while we are offering fewer shows
We are so grateful to all of you who have supported us over the years and look forward to providing many more years of beautiful, healing slack key music for you and those you love.
In the meantime, if you can help, please join our GoFundMe campaign and donate any amount that you’re able. Any amount helps and we are extremely grateful.
