We are reaching out to our friends and community with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits. My dear friend, Dori Jo Forsythe, is currently facing every parent’s worst nightmare. Her daughter is in urgent need of a life-saving liver transplant and requires around the clock care and presence. This is a critical, time-sensitive situation that has turned their world upside down. If you know Dori Jo you know she is a devoted mother, Nana, a loving wife, and the kind of friend who is always the first to show up when someone else is in need. Now, it is our turn to show up for her.
The road ahead is uncertain and demanding. To provide the care and support her daughter needs, Dori Jo must step away from her work for an uncertain amount of time. This means that while she is fighting for her daughter's life, she is also facing the loss of her primary income and the mounting costs of daily expenses, travel to & from the transplant hospital in Chicago, and necessities. We want to remove the burden of "how will the bills be paid?" so that Dori Jo can focus entirely on being by her daughter’s side.
Any contribution, no matter the size, goes directly toward: replacing lost wages during her leave of absence, essential costs like lodging, groceries, and travel to the transplant hospital. If you are unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this page with your network of friends and keeping Dori Jo's daughter, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you for your incredible kindness and generosity.
