Support for Doolittle-Perez Family

Hello, my name is Tom. My wife and I are writing on behalf of our dear friend, Matthew Doolittle and his family. They are in desperate need of financial assistance for bills and medical treatment until Matt is able to return to work.

We've known Matt since he first arrived in Kansas about eight years ago. Over the years, we became very close with him and his wonderful wife, Indira. Such an amazing couple. Tragically, we lost our beloved Indira in her second battle with cancer in January of 2019. It was very sudden and unexpected as her initial prognosis was good. During a fairly routine medical procedure, Indira slipped into a coma. Just five days later, she was gone. Needless to say, this was devastating for Matt and his two stepchildren, Andre and Sarah. Things have been especially difficult in the past year. This donation page is dedicated to helping them get back to living.



Matt and Indira were always an absolute pleasure to be around. They were always smiling and laughing. It was blatantly obvious how much they loved one another. Their children were also always smiling, friendly and polite. Great kids! Really just a wonderful family, and we are asking you to help us support them during this very trying time.

Matt is currently unable to work. At least for another few months. He has been in the hospital numerous times in the last year due to an accident at work. He fell over 30 feet from a ladder resulting in life-threatening internal injuries, numerous fractured bones, and several broken teeth. He needs help not only for medical but also for bills he's been unable to pay in the past few months. They are in jeopardy of losing their home, which I know would be devastating for them. He's already lost his business. And it's very apparent his mental health is rapidly deteriorating under all of the pressure, not to mention what they've already endured in the last three years.



Matt is still in need of additional surgeries and physical therapy. All of which are very expensive. The support will, of course, include helping the children with their ongoing therapy, future education, and any other needs.

Matt is very proud and refused to allow me to start this fundraiser, but I know he's out of options. We've since convinced him to accept the help. He has no family here. Indira's family lives in Mexico. He's been all alone trying to survive. We can't bear to watch him struggle alone anymore.

Our hearts absolutely ache for this beautiful and loving family. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Your help is greatly appreciated! May the Lord bless you and keep you!

P.S. - We weren't sure what to set as the amount of the goal. We do know much more is needed, but thought the initial amount would at least help.
