My aunt and uncle, Donna and Rob, lost everything in the Spokane Old Trails fire. Donna, pictured in purple, is one of my mom's sisters. Anyone who knows Donna knows the light she adds to a room. Donna is the kind of person who makes a neighborhood feel like home just by being there. Donna walks miles every day and has built friendships all over the community through kindness, optimism, and the simple habit of bringing treats for the dogs along the route. Donna has spent a lifetime giving joy to others, decorating for every holiday, making people smile, and reminding everyone around them not to sweat the small stuff. Now, after retiring, Donna and Rob are facing the unimaginable and starting over from nothing.

This fundraiser is to help Donna and Rob with immediate needs and necessities as they begin to rebuild their lives. Support from family, friends, neighbors, and anyone moved by their story will help them take those first difficult steps forward after losing their home and everything inside it.
