Donald Thomas was so much more than just a co-worker—he was family. In a place where we show up every day and share so much of our lives, we become brothers and sisters. Like any family, we had our disagreements, but those moments never defined us. What defined us was the bond we shared, the laughter, the support, and the brotherhood we built together. Losing Donald leaves a deep and painful void in all of us. We didn’t just lose someone we worked with—we lost a brother, a friend, someone who brought light into our days. His presence, his humor, and the way he connected with each of us are things we will carry with us forever.
Donald had just stepped into a new chapter in his life, recently promoted to manager and moving toward a bright future. His drive and determination to make his family proud inspired everyone around him. He had a kind of energy that motivated others to be better, to push forward, and to care more deeply. There truly will never be another person like him.
More than anything, Donald was devoted to his family. He leaves behind his wife and three beautiful children, including a little boy about to begin transitional kindergarten—something Donald was so excited about. I remember joking with him that he’d be the one tearing up as his son reached every milestone, from kindergarten to first grade and beyond. Those moments meant everything to him.
If the roles were reversed, Donald would be the first person to step up and help. That’s just who he was—selfless, compassionate, and full of heart. Now, it’s our turn to come together for him and his family. We are raising funds to help support his loved ones with funeral expenses and daily needs during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a difference and help ease the burden on his family. Donald’s memory will live on in all of us—in the laughter we shared, the lessons he taught us, and the love he gave so freely. He will forever be missed, and he will never be forgotten.
