Support for Donald Ray Garrett Jr.'s Cremation

Hello, my name is Sheena Williams. My father, Donald Ray Garrett Jr., was killed in a motorcycle accident on Thursday, July 31, 2025. He had a hard life that led him down the path to addiction, landing him in jail multiple times throughout my life. He was released from prison in August of last year. For the last 11 months, he has been the best father, grandpa, and human being. He turned his life around, got to know Jesus, and started making responsible choices. He showed me how much he loved me and my boys every single day. We were finally in a good place in our relationship. I had my dad, someone I hadn't seen since I was a small child who was solely dependent on him. He was a present daddy and grandpa. He had just paid for his youngest grandson's first birthday party. He wanted to ensure his grandsons had the absolute best day. He was excited to travel down on Saturday, August 2nd, to celebrate with us. Tragically, he was run over while riding his motorcycle home from the gas station on Thursday night. There were many things we didn't get to say because we took time for granted. We assumed we would see each other on Saturday and could catch up then. I had just gotten my dad back, and I was getting used to the idea of having a loving, caring, supportive, present parent in my life. My boys were getting to know their only living grandpa. We were all looking forward to the future - birthdays, holidays, everything was going to be different this year. But God said it was his time to go. Please hug your loved ones tight because none of us know when it will be the last. Our hearts are broken. Of course, this wasn't something my dad was prepared for. He started his job in January and absolutely loved working there. He even got a promotion within three months of his hire date. I recently found out he made Employee of the Month for August, which will be published at the company sometime this week. Unfortunately, he was not prepared for death, and we are needing to raise funds for his memorial service as well as for travel expenses for my family of seven. We need to travel about four hours away from home and stay for about five days. With school starting next week, things are already extremely tight. I'm hoping this fundraiser will help us make ends meet. Thank you so much for your consideration. If you can't donate, please share; that helps too!
