Support for Don Krasniewski
Donation protected
Don Krasniewski is an energetic, skilled, and well-loved friend, husband, brother and father recently diagnosed with cancer. For the past 20 years Don has worked to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and serious challenging behaviors. His infectious optimism and willingness to step into any situation is especially appreciated by families that have come to depend on his creative and innovative efforts to engage their children and provide support and care.
Don has had several serious setbacks in his recovery from cancer. Specifically Don has cancer of the ampulla of Vater—a malignant tumor arising in the last centimeter of the common bile duct. He has been readmitted to the hospital three times for a postoperative complication know as Chylous ascites (CA) or lymphatic leakage, which is a result of the extensive lymph node removal This has prevented his medical team from initiating chemotherapy.
Don is someone who really needs to stop and recover. This Go-Fund-Me request is a way to provide a couple of months rent and living expenses for Don and his family so that he can let go a bit and take care of himself and heal.
We would like to raise $10,000 to provide this breathing room for Don.
