On March 1, 2026, our dear friend Dominiq Ponder passed away in a car accident. We are still trying to process it. Dom was genuine. That is the word we keep coming back to. Dom was hilarious. One of the funniest people we have ever known. He did not have to try to make people laugh. It just happened. But more than anything, he always had a smile on his face. No matter what was going on, Dom showed up with positive energy and made the people around him feel better. Dom was a loyal friend. The kind of brother you could count on without hesitation. As his coach Deion Sanders said, “Dom was one of my favorites. He was loved, respected, and a born leader. Let’s pray for all that knew him and had the opportunity to be in his presence.” That is exactly who he was. Loved. Respected. A leader in ways that stretched far beyond football. We, the friends of Dom, are putting this fundraiser together to support Dom’s parents, Catrina and Wendell, and his siblings, Carl and Monroe, as they walk through these next steps. All proceeds will go directly to his parents to help with funeral expenses and to support them during this incredibly difficult time. If Dom ever made you laugh, stood by you, or made an impact on your life, we ask that you stand with his family now. We will carry his smile with us for the rest of our lives. We love you Dom.
