Support for Dominic Rivera After the Loss of His Father - Willie Rivera

This past week, our family lost Willie Rivera far too soon at the age of 48. His sudden passing has left his 10-year-old son, Dominic, without the father who loved him dearly. Just two days before this tragedy, Willie and Dominic were apple picking together at Becker Farms — a memory now held close as a reminder of the special bond they shared.

Dominic is a bright, kind, and determined young boy. He is thriving at City Honors School in Buffalo and already dreams of going to college. He plays basketball and chess, and he loved watching the Buffalo Bills and playing video games with his dad. His father’s encouragement and love helped shape him into the smart, capable child he is today.

Now, Dominic faces the challenge of growing up without his father. He lives with his mother, Leah Rammacher, who is devoted to giving him the care, stability, and opportunities he deserves. His sister Mikayla, a student at Buffalo State, and his brother Kyran are by his side, along with the loving support of his grandparents — Arlene and William Rivera, Sr., Diane Mellenthine, and Rick and Michelle Fralick in Albany. Together, the family is committed to surrounding Dominic with love, encouragement, and guidance as he grows.

This fundraiser will help ease the financial burden of raising Dominic as Leah now does so on her own. Contributions will support his education and activities — from school expenses, uniforms, and sports equipment to chess club fees and a future college fund. Every dollar raised will go directly toward helping Dominic continue to thrive, ensuring that his father’s dreams for him live on.
