Dolores Leon was a truly remarkable woman, mother, wife, sister, aunt, and daughter who touched the lives of everyone around her. In June 2024, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and the community rallied around her and her family as they faced the challenges of treatment. By December, she was declared cancer free, and her loved ones celebrated her strength and resilience.
Sadly, in February after an episode of shortness of breath, doctors discovered that her cancer had returned and progressed to stage IV. The following month was filled with hospital visits, uncertainty, and emotional ups and downs. Despite the hardships, Dolores was always surrounded by her family and so much love. Eventually, she was moved to hospice care, where she spent her final days in comfort, embraced by those who cared for her most. She passed away on Friday, March 27th, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, courage, and love that will be carried on through everyone who met her.
Now, her family is facing the heavy burden of funeral costs and medical bills. We are reaching out to our community for support to help ease their financial stress during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Thank you for your support during such a difficult time.
