I’m reaching out to share some news about our good friends, Dennis "Digger" Taylor and his wife, Kristin. Recently, they’ve been hit with a series of overwhelming challenges, and as their community, we want to help ease the burden they are currently carrying.
On December 15th, an electrical fire broke out in their home. While we are incredibly grateful that it wasn’t a total loss, the fire and smoke caused significant damage to their house and destroyed many of their personal belongings. As they begin the process of cleaning and rebuilding, they are finding that many essential items simply cannot be salvaged.
Unfortunately, the fire is only one part of the struggle they are currently facing:
Kristin has a major upcoming surgery. This procedure is essential for her health, but it also means she will be out of work for a significant amount of time, putting an additional strain on their household income during an already difficult time.
Amidst the fire recovery and medical preparation, Dennis needs to travel from Alabama to California to clear out his father’s home before it is sold.
Dennis and Kristin are the kind of people who would never ask for help themselves, but the costs are mounting quickly. We are raising funds to help them cover:
Replacing fire-damaged items not met by insurance.
Travel expenses for Dennis to get to California and back to Alabama.
Storage units to safely house his father's belongings.
Cost of living support while Kristin recovers from her surgery.
Our goal is to raise $4,000 to give them the breathing room they need to focus on healing and family without the weight of financial ruin hanging over their heads.
If you know "Digger," you know he’s always there for his friends. Let’s show up for him and Kristin now. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you aren't able to donate, please share this link with your friends and family.
Thank you
