Katelyn is my best friend, and right now she is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. Her son Devon was with his father when a tragic accident left 36% of his body with second and third degree burns. Devon is currently in an ICU burn unit, fighting through unimaginable pain. He has already undergone one surgery and is scheduled for another tomorrow. Katelyn is by his side, three and a half hours away from home, doing everything she can to support her son during this critical time.

Being so far from home means Katelyn is separated from her two other children, and the costs are quickly adding up. She will need to stay near the hospital for at least two weeks, and with limited funds, every meal, tank of gas, and essential item is a challenge. On top of that, bills at home continue to arrive, adding to the stress and worry.

I am asking for your help to ease some of this burden for Katelyn and her family.
