We are raising money to help the parents of Nash Central 11th grader, Devondre Vick who recently suffered a severe spinal injury during a football game at Northern Nash High School on March 5th, 2021.
While playing against the rival Northern Nash Knights, Devondre went in for a tackle as he'd done hundreds of times before and unfortunately, he sustained an injury to his C6 vertebrae. The injury has left him currently unable to move anything below his waist and has made movement in is hands a challenge.
Devondre is currently hospitalized at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC where he is undergoing physical therapy 4-5 times per day and remains in good spirits. Devondre is known as a quiet and soft spoken student who is well liked by not just is peers but his teachers & coaches as well.
Devondre's parents have insurance but with an injury like this, there are frankly many financial gaps that insurance does not fill --- any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
All funds raised will go directly to Devondre's father, Andre to help fill those gaps created by the costs related to Devondre's rehabilitation and recovery.
No contribution is too big or too small and will be of great help to Devondre and his family.
Thank you in advance.
