This morning, around 3:00 AM, a devastating fire broke out in Gastonia, North Carolina, leaving Desiree Middleton and her 6-year-old daughter displaced and heartbroken. As they slept, their dog began barking, an unusual behavior that woke Desiree just in time to hear a sudden knock on the door. It was a neighbor, urgently warning her about the fast-moving fire. Without hesitation, Desiree grabbed her daughter and her dog, and they rushed out, leaving behind everything they had known.
The fire destroyed many units, and unfortunately, Desiree's home was among those that suffered tremendous smoke damage. The fire moved so quickly, Desiree didn’t even have a moment to grab a thing.
Currently, Desiree and her daughter are staying with family as they wait for repairs to begin or for assistance with relocating to a new place. Their future is uncertain, but one thing remains clear—no one was injured, and everyone is alive and safe, for which we are incredibly thankful.
Now, Desiree and her daughter need our help. No contribution is too small, and nothing is too large. Every bit counts to help them rebuild their lives and get back on track. If you can contribute in any way, it will go a long way in providing them with the support they need. Thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness.
All donations will go directly to Desiree Middleton from Gofundme.com as the beneficiary of this account, and no one else will be receiving or collecting funds on her behalf.
