In the fall of 2023, Derrick had internal health concerns and underwent several tests. The health professionals found a cancerous growth on one of his kidneys.
Late January 2024, Derrick will be undergoing a nephrectomy to remove one of his kidneys.
The Doctors are hopeful this will clear him of the cancer, but they will not fully know until this spring.
As Derrick recovers under his family’s care, he’ll be out of work and facing medical bills far beyond what he can afford.
Derrick has always been there for everyone, always lending a helping hand and never asking for anything in return.
