Derek Peart passed away unexpectedly at the age of 45 on December 17th following a tragic fall at work. He was taken from us far too soon and leaves behind 3 children and family and friends that will deeply miss his kind and loving heart.
He found his absolute greatest joy in raising his three amazing children, Addison, Kinley, and Grayson. They were the highlight of his life. Derek loved being in the mountains with them whenever he had the chance. They loved camping, fishing, and hunting together.
He worked for years in the construction industry, renovating and building both residential and commercial buildings. He was a talented carpenter, and many were blessed by his beautiful workmanship.
Derek suffered two terrible accidents within the last month and seemed like all of this could not possibly be happening all at once. It has obviously left an overwhelming financial obstacle and any contributions would help the family and, most importantly, the kids. Over Thanksgiving, he had to be sent on a life flight from Riverton, Wyoming to Casper, Wyoming in an effort to save from a leg amputation. Thankfully, they were able to treat the infection quickly enough to save his leg and to allow him to return home after 5 days in hospital. Less than a month later, on December 16th, he had to be flown on another life flight from rural Riverton to Salt Lake City as result of a head injury suffered at work and although he was showing no brain activity, it is standard protocol for rural hospitals to send a patient to a trauma unit, regardless of medical condition.
If you are able to donate, it would help this family so much. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser is as meaningful as any donation. Please keep Derek's family in your prayers.
We appreciate your compassion and kindness during this heartbreaking time. These contributions are 100% Derek's children and to help provide for their future.
Thank you so much,
Peart Family
