On Wednesday evening, June 19, 2024, Washington County Sheriff's Office Deputy, Rich Thompson, tragically lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while riding home on his electric scooter. Rich was a family man and dedicated member of Law Enforcement, with over 25 years of service to his community. Rich is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, who is also a dedicated member of the Law Enforcement community, and his two beautiful children.
