As some of you know my sister Denise has been living with a brain tumor for a number of years now. The tumor has been growing during this time and is considered malignant as scans recently found a second tumor. Her team of excellent doctors have decided that it is time to remove the larger tumor. The second tumor is located in an area that cannot be operated on and will require medical treatments (radiation etc.) to help shrink the tumor. While we have every confidence that this surgery and subsequent treatments to the second tumor will be a complete success it is a significant surgical procedure and the treatments to the second tumor afterwards will require an extensive recovery period.

 

Denise is scheduled to have her surgery at the end of March. She has been informed by her doctors that realistically it will be three or four months before she is back to feeling like her old self and returning to her old responsibilities of full time work and taking care of a busy family!

Our goal is to raise funds that will assist Denise, Wade, and her family with financial support to cover bills and daily expenses for the next few months. This will allow Wade and the kids to be able to focus on Denise’s treatment and recovery needs (occupational therapy, physical therapy, second tumor medical treatments) so she has a complete successful recovery!!
