I am Sh'Lisa Miles, the grieving mother of De'Kari Jasean Hamilton, who was brutally stabbed and murdered by Robert Downs on 6/8/2024. My son didn't even know his killer. My son was innocent in the matter. All De'Kari did was walk into a store, then as he came out, Robert Downs just went at him with an 8-inch blade and stabbed him in his neck, eyes, arms, and chest. The police never would tell me exactly how many times that demon stabbed my child. With the grace of God, I was able to send my son off beautifully due to many family, friends, and strangers who helped with the GoFundMe account I made last year.

I wasn't able to reach my goal to get a proper headstone. Therefore, I am reaching out again to anyone who may be able to help. I was only abe to afford a tarp with his picture on it for now. But I feel incomplete knowing that he doesn't have his headstone yet. I feel that's the last thing that I need to do to put the broken pieces of my heart somewhat back together. He was such a sweet and kind-hearted soul who didn't deserve this. He left me, 4 brothers, 1 sister, 1 niece, and 2 nephews, and many other family and friends. We hurt every day.

I feel he will be rested once I'm able to get a beautiful headstone for my 4th son, De'Kari Jasean Hamilton. Thank you and blessings to all.
