Support for DeKalb Family's Fresh Start After a Fire

Hello!

My name is James K. Duck and I am the owner of Windy City Pro Wrestling. Part of my extended DeKalb County Family who are dear friends and a valuable part of our WCPW team experienced one of the worst events possible in life. Their home was destroyed by a fire on Kimberly Street that was widely reported in DeKalb last night, 5-29-24. The fire rendered their apartment unlivable and the smoke, fire, and water damage took everything from them. They are a young family of 4. The Mother and Father are sincerely good, honest, hard working people and they need our help.

Their immediate concern is lodging, preferably a new apartment. That requires 1st months rent and security deposit and I am sure it will take a while for their current landlord to sort through the red tape of this tragic fire to start giving refunds on deposits. In the meantime, these fine folks need a place to stay and as you can imagine, friends and family might not be in a position to take in 4 people suddenly in order to help out. This is a terrible situation for any family to be in.

As a business owner in the community, I have never asked anyone for help before. I'm asking for your help today to get this young family through the most difficult time of their young lives. Anything that you can donate to this cause would be greatly appreciated.

We're counting on good people to help other good people here. The goal is modest compared to what they actually need. Keep in mind they have lost all of their belongings in the apartment. Their clothes, their children's clothes, and all of the necessities for daily living. Please help with anything that you can.
