My husband has dedicated his life to serving others, spending nearly 40 years as a public servant in the Army, the VA, and most recently as a special education teacher for 24 years. Unfortunately, the last few years in education have been incredibly challenging for him. The harassment and hostile work environment he endured took a toll on both his mental and physical health, ultimately forcing him to leave the job he loved.
This sudden loss of income has been difficult for our family. We have fallen behind on bills and are struggling to keep up with daily expenses as he transitions and searches for new employment. There are no disciplinary issues or pending disciplinary issues either and all efficient or above teacher ratings. It’s been a stressful and uncertain time especially losing retirement as well, but we are doing our best to stay hopeful and support each other through these changes.
People have asked why the financial need? This is fair, our savings went to assist our son purchase a home and college for welding school, we put a new roof on our home along with plumbing/septic-repairs, paid off most of our debt, and we provide most of the needs of our adult disabled son. The timing of the job loss was just bad timing.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help. My husband has always been there for others, and now we are asking for a little support in return. Any amount you can give would be deeply appreciated and will go directly toward helping us catch up on bills and manage daily expenses during this transition.
update: myhusband is currently hospitalized and dealing with serious kidney problems.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. Please share with others.
