With deep sorrow, I share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Debora Mengiste and Oprah Mengiste, the beloved daughters of my dear friend Seble and their Father Mengiste

Both sisters were found deceased in their bedroom in South Africa. Their sudden passing has left the family and all of us who knew them heartbroken beyond words.

As a friend of the family living in the United States, I am organizing this GoFundMe to help transport their bodies from South Africa to Ethiopia, where they will be laid to rest with love and dignity, surrounded by family and community.

All funds raised will go directly toward:

Repatriation costs (transport from South Africa to Ethiopia)

Funeral and burial expenses in Ethiopia

Support for Mengiste and Seble’s family during this difficult time
