Our Mother,

Debra York has always been an inspiration and shining light for all who have been lucky enough to know her.

Unfortunately, two days before her 68th birthday, she was admitted to Moffit Cancer Center for breast cancer that had metastasized into her spinal bone, causing collapse and near loss of her legs. Emergency surgery proved helpful, but the journey ahead will be long and challenging…also forcing her into retirement.

For the past 35 years, she's delivered the newspaper at night to support her family during the day. She worked hard every single night, including weekends and holidays, always with a smile. All while successfully raising five children and supporting the growth of 13 grandchildren with her adoring husband, Mike, of 48 years. Debbie has always been the person who goes out of her way for others and welcomes all.
