This past year has been incredibly challenging for my sister Debbie, her husband Scott, and their son Hunter. Scott has faced a series of serious health issues, beginning with the difficult decision to undergo an amputation. This led to multiple hospitalizations, complications, and a long period of rehabilitation as he worked to regain his strength and adjust to a new prosthetic. Just this week, Scott underwent major heart surgery. Thankfully, he is now recovering, but the journey has been long and exhausting for the whole family.
Throughout all of this, Debbie has never left Scott’s side, only going home when absolutely necessary to rest. This dedication has meant significant time away from work, and as a result, the bills have started to pile up. Our family has come together to help as much as we can—Pam, our sister-in-law, and our parents, Ed and Marta, have always stepped up, preparing meals, helping with daily needs, and offering constant support. Still, the costs of medical care, daily travel to the hospital, and keeping up with household expenses have become overwhelming.
We are reaching out to our community for help. Debbie has used all her available time off and FMLA to keep her job, which supports the three of them. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the burden and allow Debbie to focus on Scott’s recovery and caring for their family. Thank you for your love, kindness, and support during this difficult time. We are deeply grateful for any help you can offer.
