On Sunday, March 29, 2026, our dear friend Deb Compton lost the love of her life. James Ronald “Ronnie” Compton passed away unexpectedly at home after enduring months of treatment for an aggressive form of Lyme disease.
Deb and her three boys are absolutely heartbroken. Alongside their unimaginable grief, they are now facing a heavy and overwhelming financial burden. Due to his illness, Ronnie was unable to work for the last eight months of his life. As a result, Deb became the sole provider for their family while also managing the cost of his care—including his final month of treatment, which was not covered by insurance.
In an effort to maintain stability for her children, Deb has made the incredibly difficult decision to leave their family home and relocate to be closer to her oldest son. The costs of moving, rent deposits, and everyday living expenses are quickly becoming unmanageable—especially with funeral expenses now added to the weight she carries.
Deb Compton is one of the strongest people we know—a devoted mother and wife, an extraordinarily talented groomer, and a fiercely loyal friend. If you know Deb, you know that asking for help is not something she does. She is the one who shows up for everyone else, without hesitation.
Today, we are asking for her.
Please help us support Deb and her boys as they lay their husband and father to rest. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the financial strain and allow this family the space to grieve, heal, and begin to rebuild.
Thank you for your love, support, and generosity.
