Dean, my loving spouse, has always been the biggest giver of his time and love. Now, he is facing his own battle, having recently been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in two locations, with two tumors. We have been searching for answers for the past year for answers on his continued weight loss. We have been to many doctors, had multiple tests and scans and it wasn't until he went to the dentist with jaw pain that we discovered the cancer. After the biopsy and PET scan they discovered the second tumor in his throat. This news has turned our world upside down, and we are now preparing for the immediate start of several months of treatment at UAB. The journey ahead will be challenging, but we are determined to face it together, with hope and strength.

As Dean begins his treatment, we are facing a number of unexpected expenses. The costs of medical care, frequent travel to and from UAB, meals during long days at the hospital, and keeping up with our home while Dean is away from work are adding up quickly. These financial pressures are overwhelming, but we know that with the support of our community, we can get through this difficult time.
