Dawn R Seaboy-Block is the heart of our family. At 58, she is a proud American Indian mother of 8 and grandmother to 23, always welcoming everyone with open arms and a warm meal. Her love for cooking, gardening, and riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle brings our family together, and she never lets anyone go hungry. Dawn’s generosity and strength have made her the matriarch who holds our large family together, always ready to help anyone in need.


Recently, Dawn was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer, which has deeply affected our lives. She faces a difficult journey, traveling 137 miles one way every other week for chemotherapy treatments in South Dakota, all while helping raise two of our young grandchildren. The treatments are tough, leaving her nauseated, weak, and exhausted, but she continues to fight with the same determination she’s always shown. Despite these challenges, Dawn tries to keep working and caring for our family, but the medical bills, travel expenses, and daily costs are overwhelming.


Dawn has always been the one to support our family in times of need, offering comfort, food, and solutions to any problem. Now, she needs us to rally around her.
