Dawn Fox is the loving and faithful wife of my late friend and colleague, Jim Fox. Many people knew Jim for his tireless efforts to raise awareness and knowledge of Lupus—a cause close to his heart because he helped care for Dawn as she managed the condition. Together, Jim and Dawn also welcomed her mother into their home, supporting her through her own illness. Just days before tragedy struck, this small family had closed on a new house, looking forward to a fresh start. On the very afternoon they were to begin packing, Jim suffered a sudden accident, with their move scheduled for the following morning. Dawn and Jim shared over 30 years of marriage, and she was a guiding influence in Jim's faith and his journey to becoming a Christian. She remained by his side throughout his brief hospital stay, holding his hand during his final moments. Now, Dawn faces not only the loss of her beloved husband but also the challenge of caring for her mother and managing the new home they had just begun to build together. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to cover medical and funeral expenses for Jim, as well as ongoing medical care for Dawn and her mother.
