On Monday morning, February 16, 2026, our lives changed in an instant when my husband David was involved in a serious trucking accident. He suffered significant injuries to his neck, back, head, shoulders, and more. The road ahead will be long and challenging, as David has already undergone spinal surgery and faces months of intensive recovery before he can hope to return to his work as a Forestry Contractor.
David has always been the backbone of our family and the driving force behind his self-owned business, Black Creek Forestry. With him unable to work, we are facing mounting medical bills and household expenses, all while trying to keep his business afloat during his recovery. As a teacher, my salary alone is not enough to cover these overwhelming costs, and the uncertainty of the future weighs heavily on us each day.
We are reaching out to our friends, family, and community for support during this incredibly difficult time. Any help you can offer—whether it’s a donation, a kind word, a share of this GoFundMe or especially a prayer for David’s mental and physical strength—would mean the world to us. Your generosity will help ease the burden and give David the best chance at a full recovery. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us.
Thank you to my sister-in-law Dana Stewart for making this page for us as I am busy taking care of David and his needs at this time.
