On the morning of Monday, May 27, 2026, my father, David Yates, was the victim of a violent attack. He was stabbed 19 times and had to be airlifted to a hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Upon arrival, David was rushed into surgery, suffering from collapsed lungs, a broken arm, and multiple other injuries. He has already undergone two surgeries and is currently in the ICU in stable but critical condition. David was disabled before this attack, which makes his recovery even more challenging for him and our family.
As we navigate this difficult time, we are facing substantial medical bills, rehabilitation costs, and living expenses. The funds raised will help cover these urgent needs and any additional expenses that arise as David continues his fight to heal and come home. Your support will ease the financial burden on our family and allow us to focus on his recovery.
We are asking for your help to cover David's medical bills and other expenses. When he is able to return home. There will still be a long road of recovery. The damage to his arms and hands is significant. The simplest task will be impossible to do alone hopefully not forever, but we will see. If you are able to donate, we would be deeply grateful. If not, your prayers and support mean just as much to us. Thank you for standing with us during this unimaginable time. Please help share and get the message out.
