Support for David Scott's Funeral

With a heavy heart, I regret to inform that I have lost my stepfather, Dave, on January 24th, 2023, the man who raised me and whom I will miss dearly. Dave was a remarkable person, and it isn't easy to put all that he was into words. However, I am going to try my best. What I can say about him is that he was a man who never looked down on anyone, a man who was always willing to help anyone in need, even at the cost of his own well-being. He could find the good in everything and always put a positive spin on even the worst of situations. A rare and much-appreciated trait in this world that sometimes seems to drag us down. Even in the darkest times, he brought joy and laughter through his sense of humor and a proper perspective on life. I will miss him dearly, and I am confident I am a better person because of his guidance throughout my life. I look forward to the day when I will see him again in the presence of Christ. As the scripture says, "We do not grieve like those who have no hope." 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. I am grateful to God for the hope that I have, knowing that this mourning is only temporary as we pass through this life. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Corinthians 15:57.
