David Morales Carrillo went to be with the Lord today. He was the adoring husband of Alma, eldest son of Martha Carrillo and Professor Ramon Morales Flores, brother to 9 siblings, father to 7 children, a beloved grandfather, tio, and Padrino. Born in El Calabazal, Sombrerete, Zacatecas, David spent the majority of his life in Southern California, with Boyle Heights being his final resting place. He was a genius self taught musician, lyricist, and painter, a hilarious and lively story teller, but his greatest joy was his family. We will miss his cariño, his support, his belief in his family, and his beaming smile.

I’m his niece and Goddaughter and I’ve created this page to raise money for his funeral and memorial services with permission from the family. We appreciate the support from our loving family and community.

Fue un genio músico, letrista y pintor, un narrador divertido, pero su mayor alegría fue su familia. Extrañaremos su cariño, su apoyo, su fe en su familia y su radiante sonrisa.
