I am writing as a mother for my son, David Kerber. Dave has had progressive pain and loss of strength in his legs for over 18 years. It has now risen to his arms and neck. He has been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, a condition where the cerebellum descends over time and causes pressure on the spinal cord. Dave’s symptoms have slowly worsened, and now include pain and weakness in his arms and legs, headaches, visual disturbances, and slowed cognitive abilities.
As many of you know, Dave is the family homemaker, while his wife, Mackenzie, runs a thriving psychology business. As his disabilities have progressed, Kenzie has needed to take over all the work of the home and care for their two daughters, while also maintaining their income just to pay the bills. The daily challenges have become overwhelming, and they are in need of extra support to manage household tasks, childcare, and cleaning.
Any size donation will help. Even a small contribution can make a real difference: a donation can help pay for grocery delivery, babysitting, a hot meal, or an hour of cleaning. We are all deeply grateful for your friendship and support of the family. I am reaching out as a mother who wants to help her son and his family during this difficult time. Any support you can offer will make a meaningful difference in their lives, easing the burden and allowing them to focus on what matters most. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
